Welcome to My Addiction

I'm an educator who is passionate about animals of all species. You may see references to other species here - there aren't many animals we haven't lived with at least as fosters for a short time.

The current agility dogs are:

Brody - a shi/poodle/maltese mix born in 2000

adopted when he was 6 months old. He is a dear soul but as a product of a puppy mill sold through a puppy broker he came with some serious baggage. He has proven to be a superstar at everything he's been asked to do - humane education, tv gigs, media interviews, trade shows, and now agility!

Thea - an adorable chihuahua born in 2003 adopted because we were "chihuahualess" after losing one of our old palliative fosters. She is chocolate and just the sweetest thing. We are so lucky to live with one easy dog! Agility is just a game to her - and we have lots of fun!

Sally - a border collie mix of who knows what born in the sumer of 2006. Sally was fostered by us as a palliative case due to serious gastric issues. She was only 4 months old when she joined our family and it took a long time to believe she might survive. Her great joy of life is constantly getting her into trouble but she brings great pleasure to us daily. If she ever gets some real work (or a real handler!) in agility she'll be amazing. Agility scores VERY high on her list of things to do!

About Me

My photo
andrea
Why do I have three blogs you ask? well there are three things in life very important to me - our farm (our future) Vareharri my addiction Agility and the fostering Big T and I have done for many years one blog about all of these together would be as chaotic as our life and that hardly seems fair! Hence three blogs. Welcome to the chaos! The following Helen Keller quotation influences both the way I think and act "I am only one, but still I am one. I cannot do everything, but still I can do something; and because I cannot do everything, I will not refuse to do something that I can do"
