Sally
Words fail me often with Sally.
She is my teacher, my joker, my challenge, my joy.
The learning curve with her has been so steep it makes me dizzy at times.
I cannot imagine life being complete without her in it.
Born about June 16, 2006, one of a litter born to a brother sister duo who were accidentally allowed to breed. The litter was being given away at about 5 weeks of age and the rescue I foster for (Project Jessie) ended up with four puppies.
. Big T and I fostered two of her amazing siblings but knew a puppy wasn't right for us. We placed Duncan and Sophie with great friends of ours and lived puppyless for about 6 weeks. Then dear sweet, quiet, easy going Sally came back to rescue. She came to us as a palliative case in October as she was quite ill - severe allergies, IBD, parasites - there were so many complex issues it was impossible to believe she could pull through. I had the amazing fortune of having amazing employers who welcomed the sick little puppy at work.
Much love, many many small meals and a change of name
and her palliative status changed. People have observed that Sally's first adopters would have a tough time living with this dynamic life force.
A true agility and work addict Sally gives everything her all. If it's learning a behaviour, figuring out how to open a latch, or playing a rousing game or best of all agility it gets 100%.
She has been cast in the movie "Saving Dinah" and has been working her tail very hard this month. She is a Super Star through and through.
